Agaricus brasiliensis, known by several common names such as “Cogumelo do sol” (mushroom of the sun), “Cogumelo de Deus” (mushroom of God), “Cogumelo de vida” (mushroom of life), “Himematsutake,” “Royal sun agaricus,” and “Mandelpilz,” boasts a somewhat sweetish taste and nutty aroma.

Main uses as Mushroom Powder:

  • Polysaccharides with immunologically active low molecular weight fractions, including a-1,6 and a-1,4 glucan complex, polysaccharide-protein complexes, glucomannan, and heteropolysaccharide.
  • Rich in lipids such as linoleic acid, oleic acid, and stearic acid.
